有氧適能一直是運動科學研究的重要議題,評估有氧適能的方法也不斷創新。自Léger and Lambert (1982)發展多階段二十公尺來回跑測驗(a multistage 20m shuttle run test, 20mMST)以來,許多研究者對20mMST測驗方法提出質疑,例如不同族群、性別與年齡層的測驗表現及其預測最大攝氧量的效度是否有差異?為此,研究者針對20mMST的運動時間、頻率或型態進行多次嘗試,祈能適用於較廣泛的族群。目前20mMST已被許多國際組織納入正式的體適能測驗項目,更有國家作為國人有氧適能測驗的項目,反觀台灣目前尚未建置20mMST相關資料。本文就20mMST相關文獻進行分析與討論,結果顯示20mMST表現的一致性高,能有效預測個人有氧適能,且可實施於不同族群,非常適合作為評估大樣本有氧適能的方法,值得國內運動生理與體適能學者研究發展。
Aerobic fitness has been a critical issue in sport science, and the assessments have been modified and progressed continuously. Since developed by Leger and Lambert (1982), the 20 meters multistage shuttle run test (20mMST) had drawn many queries. The validity of 20mMST in predicting maximal oxygen uptake upon different ethnicity, gender, or age was questioned. With this regard, many researchers took exercise duration, frequency, or type to examine the validity of 20mMST in order to extend the generalization of the test. At present, 20mMST has been accepted by many international organizations, and included in fitness test battery in many countries, but not yet in Taiwan. This paper reviewed relevant research in 20mMST, and found that the consistency and validity of 20mMST in predicting aerobic fitness were satisfied. Besides, 20mMST could be implemented in different groups and large sample populations, and further investigations are encouraged.
