本文旨在回顧台灣運動防護專業在高等教育和專業認證兩方面的制度沿革,探討國內運動防護員在工作範疇、證照考試資格和核心課程的制度變化。根據研究結果,本研究認為台灣運動防護專業在過去的三十年雖在高等教育與證照考試制度以發展出具體的人才培育與專業認證機制,但運動防護員資格檢定辦法對運動防護員工作內容的規範太過抽象,在目前的工作範疇下缺乏具體的工作內容及其核心的知識、技能與能力指標。本研究針對研究結果,建議未來應投入更多的研究了解台灣運動防護員工作的實質內容,並探討未來在課程規劃上的教育需求。
The objectives of the study were to review the history of athletic training profession in Taiwan and to discuss the evolution in eligibility requirement of athletic training certification examination. The results revealed that the current work domain of athletic trainer and the curriculum model of athletic training education remained too unspecific to comply with. Compared with the athletic training profession development in the United States, the present regulations in athletic training certification provide with no further details to educational personnel and others with the knowledge, skills, and clinical abilities to be mastered by the students enrolled in athletic training education programs. Our findings therefore suggest the need for regular surveys to gain the understanding of the athletic trainers' work role, work tasks and the knowledge, skills, and clinical abilities required.
