The Effects of Multi-Exercise Prescription Program on Functional Physical Fitness for Older Adults- A Study in Chia-Yi Country Senior Center

The purposes of this study was examine the effects of multi-exercise prescription program on functional physical fitness for the old-adult of 65 or above years old in Chia-Yi County senior center. The method was experimental design on senior functional fitness test to collect data. The data was analyzed by using the statistical software package SPSS for Windows 12. The data were collected and analyzed by using descriptive statistics, chi-square test, and Independent samples t test. The result on the different background showed that female participants process better hip joints flexibilities than male participants. Meanwhile, older adults on a regular exercise process better ability to balance and flexibilities. In addition, the result revealed that these training ways of multi-exercise prescription program on functional physical fitness increased on shoulder and hip joints flexibilities, lower muscles strengths, and ability to balance. On the conclusion, it seems that the model of multi-exercise prescription program on functional physical fitness is significant effects on older adults.
