Vocational education has fostered numerous professionals in job market, and has played an important role in the economy take-off in Taiwan. As the traditional industries have been greatly transformed and upgraded, the technical professionals cannot satisfy the needs of industries gradually. In contrast, the dual vocational training system in Germany is a well-known successful teaching system and is followed by many countries. As a result, this article is aim to analyze the value of dual vocational training system, and to find out how the dual system successfully combine school education with vocational training to educate skilled professionals in Germany. By examining several main factors of German dual system that includes enacting the "Vocational Education and Training Act" ("Berufsbildungsgesetz"), well collaboration between government and enterprises, and the balance of dual vocational training theory and practice, researchers expect those elements can be provided as suggestions for the transformation of vocational education in Taiwan, and wish vocational education is able to be innovative and to sustain development.
