芳香精油按摩對於體重控制之成效評估

Evaluation on the Effect of Essential Oil Massage on Weight Control

摘要


研究旨在探討芳香療法對於體重控制之成效評估,試驗對象以方便取樣,篩選身體質量指數(BMI)≧24之志願受測者,研究方法採雙盲、隨機分組方式進行。實驗組使用3%含雪松2、樟腦迷迭香2、肉桂1、檸檬1之複方按摩霜,對照組使用基礎按摩霜,持續措施八週,紀錄芳療措施前(W0)、持續措施四週(W4)、八週(W8)及追蹤後四週(W12)之體重、身體質量指數、腰圍、體脂肪率、十二經絡能量值及SF-36生活品質評估。實驗結果顯示持續措施八週後實驗組在體重、身體質量指數、腰圍、十二經絡能量值均達顯著改善之成效,且生活品質也有所提昇。結論是該芳香精油配方具有控制體重之功效,可應用於休閒SPA產業對於體重控制療程設計之參考。

The study subject is evaluation of aromatherapy massage treatment on weight control. Research designed to screen body mass index(BMI) ≧ 24 participates from convenience sampling subjects, randomly divide to two groups and adopt double-blind test. The experimental group used 3% massage cream which blended with cedarwood 2, camphor rosemary 2, cinnamon 1 and lemon 1 essential oil, and control group used no scented basic cream. The aromatherapy intervention continued for eight weeks. Recording four measuring point, they were previous intervention (W0), after four weeks (W4), eight weeks (W8) and end of four weeks (W12) respectively. Measuring data included body weight, body mass index, waist circumference, body fat rate, twelve Main Meridians energy level and Short Form-36 health survey. Our results showed that the experimental group reached a significant improvement in body weight, body mass index, waist circumference and twelve Main Meridians energy level values, and also promote their quality of life. Conclusion, our designed essential oil formula is effective for weight control and can be as a reference treatment design for weight control in leisure SPA industry.
