北京奧運會的美麗與哀愁－環保

造物者賦予地球美麗的自然環境，卻因人類不當的開發與使用而變調。隨著國際環保意識的興起，國際奧委會進而修訂奧林匹克憲章，以環境保護爲目標，促使運動與環保結合，並將奧運會申辦城市的環保政策列爲審查重點。北京奧組委爲實現申奧的承諾，積極落實城市綠化與生態保護，實施節能與空氣污染防治，加強水污染整治，推動綠色消費與廢棄物處理，及綠色交通與場館建設污染防治等措施，以建設北京爲永續發展的城市。然而，空氣污染、水危機、熱島效應、交通與噪音、及生態負荷等環境問題依然爲國際人士所詬病，也是北京所要面臨的嚴峻課題。在環保意識高漲的國際潮流中如何更落實環保政策，考驗著北京奧運會當局的智慧。

The Creator has given the earth beautiful natural environment, yet, the earth has changed its color due to the human's inappropriate development and use. As the rise of international environmental consciousness, the International Olympic Committee therefore revised the Olympic Charter, and set the goal to protect the environment, to enhance the connection of sports and environmental protection, and to make the environmental protection policies as the main checking points for all the applied Olympics cities. The Beijing Olympics Organizing Committee, in order to make what it has promised come to realization, has accelerated its pace to green the cities, protect its ecology, reinforce saving the energy, prevent polluting the air, reconstruct waste water system, push green consumption, dispose its wastes, green traffic, and pollution prevention of its arenas. In doing so, Beijing could become an ever growing and developing city. Yet, air-pollution, water crises, hot island effects, traffics, noises, and the heavy burden of its ecology, has been the focal points of international critics. They also become the main issues of Beijing. Beijing Olympic authority needs wisdom to solve those issues caused by the rise of this international trend of environmental consciousness.
