The purpose was to investigate the junior high school second grade boys participating after class in cram school, whether has influence on their physical activity. Seventy junior high school students were selected as subjects, they were divided into two group, 1) thirty-five in the cram school group (CSG), 2) thirty-five subjects did not participated in cram school as the control group (CG). Seven-day activity recall (7-d AR) were used to estimate subjects's physical activity, and the following variables were measured: body mass index (BMI), flexibility, muscle strength, muscle endurance, and cardiorespiratory capacity. The independent t-test was used to test the different between two groups, the alpha level was setα=.05. The findings are as follows: the CSG group have significant lower moderate activity, heavy activity, acute activity, energy expenditure, muscle strength, muscle endurance, and cardio respiratory capacity, than the CG group (p<.05). No difference was found in the sleep hours, light activity, BMI, flexibility. It's concluded that attend the CSG had lower muscle strength, cardiorespiratory capacity due to less physical activities. Therefore, to recommend the parentally for CSG need to consider to arrange more extra exercise or recreation activity to increase their daily physical activity, and to form a habit of regular exercise.
