摘要

目的：本研究為研究者發表現代男子強勢網球之後的後續研究，主要目的為探討現代強勢網球趨勢的因素內容，除頂尖網球選手個人內在特質與外在條件的展現外，也從其他打造強勢網球的外在環境結構因素，試圖找出近年來所發展之全方位強勢網球的新概念、實質內容與意涵。方法：本研究再次以深度訪談(depth-interview)的方式進行，以第一次研究的9位受訪對象為主，包括國內頂尖選手、教練、球評、資深記者、廠商等。為補強訓練與養成、教練、團隊支援、制度與組織等內容，另外邀請國內頂尖選手1人、賽會執行長1人、外籍訓練員(trainer)1人、健護教練1人、以及記者1人，總計14人。藉由他們的親身經歷、經驗及感受，將全方位強勢網球內容與輪廓描述出來。訪談過程全程錄音，並謄寫成逐字稿，以紮根理論(grounded theory)的研究方法為基礎，進行文字資料的分析。結果：發現當前打造強勢網球趨勢的外在結構因素包括：器材設備(EF)、訓練與養成(TR)、教練(CC)、專業支援(TS)、個人形象與經營(PIM)、家庭(F）、組織與制度(OR)以及賽事與贊助(TS)等八個向度，各向度的關係密不可分，並和全方位強勢網球具有清楚的數學關係。結論：本研究結果將打造強勢網球趨勢的結構因素，以全方位的宏觀概念來補強，提出新的行為模式，全方位強勢網球＝函數[(IT×IM×CI×PF)×(EF×TR×CC×TS×PIM×F×OR×TS)]，希望對選手、教練、民間組織和政府機關作為訓練、比賽及發展政策有所助益。

Purpose: This study is a follow-up study of a previous published paper A Qualitative Study on Modern Man Power Tennis (Lien, 2004) by the researcher. The purpose of this study is to understandings factor content of the modern Power Tennis trend, expanding the discussion beyond inner characteristics and external conditions of the top players, to other external environmental and structural factors integral to Power Tennis. The study attempts to organize new Power Tennis concepts developed in recent years, ascertain their substance, and deduce their meaning. Method: This research used the depth-interview methodology for data collection. The main interviewees were the same nine subjects from the first study, among them included a top-ranking tennis player in the country, coaches, tennis commentators, senior journalists, and vendors. In order to enhance the content areas in Training Regimen, Coach and Coaching, Team Support, and Organization and Regulations, five additional interviewees were invited-including a top player in the country, a tournament director, a foreign trainer, an athletic trainer, and a journalist. There were 14 interviewees in total for this follow-up study. The content and the framework of Power Tennis were described through the subjects’ personal experiences and knowledge. The entire interview process was recorded and transcribed verbatim; the grounded theory methodology was then employed to analyze the text data collected. Result: This study found external environmental and structural factors in shaping the current trend in Power Tennis. The eight dimensions are: Equipment and Facilities (EF), Training Regimen (TR), Coach and Coaching (CC), Team Support (TS), Personal Image and Management (PIM), Family (F), Organization and Regulations (OR), and Tournaments and Sponsorship (TS). These dimensions not only are interconnected and complementary of each other, they also have clear mathematical relationships within Complete Power Tennis. Conclusion: This study re-enforces structural factors shaping the trend of Power Tennis through a macro-level and multi-directional concept. The researcher proposes a new behavioral model, Complete Power Tennis=ƒ[(IT×IM×CI×PE)×(EF×TR×CC×TS×PIM×F×OR×TS)] which can be useful in training, competing, and developing policies for athletes, coaches, local organizations, and government offices alike.
