The purpose of this study was to construct a causal model in exploring sport motivation, involvement, and flow theory among track and field athletes. Participants were selected from coaches and athletes in collegiate open division. Survey was employed for data collection and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The result indicated that collegiate athletes with higher sport motivation cause better in sport involvement as well as flow experience. Sport involvement also affected flow experience for collegiate athletes. This study demonstrated that sport involvement equipped with mediating effects. Elevation of sport motivation could result in higher sport involvement, higher sport involvement result in higher flow experience. For these factors to complement each other is crucial factor to advance track and field athletes in our nation.
