SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT, TEACHER'S PET PHENOMENON, CLASS CONFLICT AND TEACHER'S PERCEIVED CONTROL ABILITY AMONG VOCATIONAL STUDENTS

College students' sense of entitlement was a manifestation of self-rights on campus, and the teachers' pet phenomenon in classrooms was also quite common. This study tested the relationship among vocational students' sense of entitlement, teacher's pet phenomenon, and class conflict, and evaluated the moderation effect of teachers' perceptual control ability. The sampling method adopted cluster sampling. A total of 504 vocational students were selected. After confirmatory factor analysis, alpha reliability analysis, structural equation model analysis, one-way analysis of variance, comparison of competitive models, and multi-groups analysis, the research results showed: 1. The research model of the sense of entitlement, teacher's pet phenomenon and class conflict indicated a satisfactory fit to the data. 2. Among the teacher's pet students, general students had higher class conflicts than leading students and excellent students. 3. In the three sub-models, the sense of entitlement of leading students influenced class conflict, but the teacher's pet phenomenon among general students influenced class conflict. This research and recommendations are based on the research results.
