台中電廠輪班員工身體活動對睡眠品質之相關研究

The Study of the Relationship between Shiftworkers' Physical Activities and Sleeping Quality-a Case Study on the Employees of Taichung Power Plant

摘要


本研究目的在瞭解輪班工作者身體活動對睡眠品質的影響。以隨機抽樣所選取的102位台中火力發電廠輪班工作人員爲對象,比較個人基本屬性和身體活動量大小及有無規律運動習慣等變項在睡眠品質上的差異。匹茲堡睡眠品質量表(PSQI)及三日身體活動量表(3-dPAL)則爲本研究調查工具。所得資料經統計處理後發現:一、基本屬性方面,在「工作、生活等各方面綜合壓力」部份對睡眠品質的影響達顯著差異水準,顯示壓力爲影響睡眠品質的重要因素之一。二、研究對象除工作日之中重度身體活動量外,其餘各項之身體活動量皆與睡眠品質得分(PSQI)呈顯著負相關,本研究電廠輪班工作人員身體活動量大者,其睡眠品質較佳。三、有20%的電廠輪班工作人員有規律運動的習慣,而其主觀睡眠品質、睡眠潛伏期及睡眠效率亦顯著優於無運動習慣者。然而,睡眠困擾、睡眠時數、白天功能狀態及安眠藥之使用則未達顯著水準。結論:本研究發現壓力、身體活動量及規律運動習慣與電廠員工之睡眠品質有關係存在。所以鼓勵電廠員工及早養成運動習慣,應是促進身心健康和改善睡眠品質的有效方法之一。

The main purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between sleeping quality and physical activity level of shift workers. Methods: 102 randomly selected Taichung power plant employees served as the subjects and were asked to fill out the designed questionnaires. PSQI and 3-d PAL of each subject was applied to represent the sleeping quality of each individual. All of the subjects' duty schedules were irregularly shifted. Results: 1. On the ”Pressure from work and life”, it has reached the statistical significance and indicated that pressure played an important factor affecting the sleeping quality negatively. 2. Except for the heavily loaded physical activities on the working day, other physical activities all showed negative correlation with the PSQI scores, the more the subjects worked out, the superior sleeping qualities they obtained. 3. 20% of the employees exercised regularly. They were all having better subjective sleep quality, sleep latency and sleep efficiency than other employees who never exercised. On the ”sleep disturbance, sleep duration, daytime status and the usage of sleeping pills”, it did not reach the statistical significance. Conclusion: The study has found that there was existing very close relationship between pressure, physical activities quantity and regular exercise habit of every employee working in Taichung power plant. It is hoped that all the employees are able to exercise regularly to keep themselves healthy and improve their sleeping qualities.
