A New Learning Model in Nursing-The Microlecture Design

Informatization has been built in the learning style today. Microtype has been emphasized in the generation and the learning style is also heading for microlearning. The core concept of microlearning is to present the learning content systematically and succinctly. "Microlecture" is a design of teaching material to assist student's learning. Microlecture is a short-term teaching method to present the important course content in a simplified form, deepening the impression of the learners through the assistance of uptodate software and video. By this way, students can focus on catching the key knowledge of their learning. This article describes the origin, definition, advantage, as well as the development and design of microlecture. "Fundamental Nursing and Lab" will be used as an example to demonstrate how to apply microlecture on the course and to evaluate the student's learning effect. Through the application of microlecture in nursing education, it is expected that provided teachers a teaching experience and students can be brought into a new era of learning mode and acquire a better learning result.
