Drug Evaluation of Ertapenem by Evidence-Based Medicine

摘要

Objective: In this study, we want to evaluate the effectiveness of ertapenem sodium in the infectious diseases by evidence-base method. Methods: We used double-blind designs, except for ertapenem taken less than 7 days, 108 infected-ICU patients in Paochien Hospital in Taiwan between January 1 and December 31 in 2007 were randomly-chosen. The statistic methods were use AVOVA and multiple logistic regression to evaluate its therapy and outcomes. Results: The 108 infectious patients (59 males and 49 females) included are 78.5 ± 6.4 (mean ± sd) years old. The analyzing results from signal items are shown that more than 78 years, worse renal functions, combined other infectious diseases have influences on duration of ertapenem usages. Specially, according to the odds ratio, the responses for ertapenem were the positive week by week.Conclusions: Considering usage of ertapenem, patients with more than 78 years, worse renal functions, combined other infectious diseases could be evaluated.
