This study, using Janfusun Prince Hotel and Nice Prince Hotel as a case study, explores the relationship between the emotional loading and job burnout of hotel service employees. Conducting judgmental sampling 243 usable questionnaires were obtained from service employees. The research findings are: (1) Hotel service employees with different demographic backgrounds are significantly different in their emotional loading; (2) the hotel service employees with different demographic backgrounds have significantly different rates of job burnout; and, (3) the emotional loading of the hotel service employees is significantly positively related to the job burnout. Findings can be used in developing criteria for hiring, in training and in management of employees.
