以六標準差統計觀點探討私立大學對學生教育資源之管理效能現況

Exploring the Effectiveness of Educational Management in Terms of Six Sigma

摘要


近年來,六標準差已成為企業管理發展的重要方法之一,就技術面而言,六標準差是最直接引用統計數據的管理方法。本研究論文就六標準差統計觀點,分析私立大學對學生教育資源之管理效能,藉由教育部高教司於2004~2005年統一執行的全國大學校院評鑑量化資料,運用描述性統計、單因子變異數分析(One-Way ANOVA)、多變量變異數分析(MANOVA)、Pearson積差相關分析、典型相關分析、及區別分析等統計方法,分析九十二學年度29所私立大學相關學生之教育管理效能發展情形,歸納各私立大學在學生人數及其教育資源的現況,並分析其現有六標準差水準,再探討其達六標準差水準之提升情形。最後根據研究結果提供具體建議,作為私立大學經營管理之參考,期以提升高等教育競爭力。

Currently Six Sigma has already become one of the most important methods in the development of business administration. Technically speaking, Six Sigma is the most direct application of statistic figures into management methods. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of school educational management on Six Sigma scale. By studying the national college evaluation data collected from the academic year 2004~2005 by the higher education board of Ministry of Education, this study explores the effectiveness of educational management of about 29 privately-run universities in Taiwan for that specific year. The following statistical methods are applied in this study: One-Way ANOVA, MANOVA, Pearson Product-moment Correlation, Canonical Correlation and Discriminant Analysis. The two major directions are fully discussed in this study-the student number, and the education resources. In terms of the variant levels of Six Sigma, the relationship and situation between the involvement of resource and education management in these private universities are carefully examined.
