In this paper, we study the problem of least-squares multiple regression with fuzzy data, that is to find a symmetry triangular fuzzy number Ã0 and real numbers β1,...,β(subscript m) that minimize observation error d^2 (Y, Ã0 ⊕ β1 ⊙ X1 ⊕ ... ⊕ β(subscript m) X(subscript m)), where X(subscript i) and Y are fuzzy data. By applying symmetric triangular approximations of fuzzy numbers, a new method for determining Ã0 and β1,...,β(subscript m) is proposed.
