試論確信為仁作為儒家的宗教性及其對於通識教育的啟發

On Believing in Benevolence as a Religious Aspect of Confucianism and Its Inspiration for General Education

摘要


本文嘗試論述確信為仁作為儒家的宗教性,不僅僅是提倡仁,更是必須確信為仁。沒有確信的仁,就只是一般知識,無法成為即知即行的實踐力量。確信為仁是透由歷代儒者在歷史實踐中所成就的理性化超越性,就本文而言,這是一種理性化的宗教性,成為中國文明的核心價值所在。同時本文也嘗試論述,當前的高等教育作為人類最為先進的教育,特別是其最為核心的教育-通識教育,如果不認真面對確信為仁的宗教性,將是緣木求魚,終究只是資本主義的附庸,甚至傀儡。

This article attempts to discuss the-deeply-believe-in-benevolence(確信為仁) as a religious aspect of Confucianism, not only trying to promote benevolence but also arguing that the-deeply-believe-in-benevolence can help who believe in Confucianism to understand the core value of Confucianism, more correctly. Without the-deeply-believe-in-benevolence, benevolence is only a professional term of Confucianism. It cannot encourage anyone, who would like to believe Confucianism and to promote his or her spiritual life. However, the-deeply-believe-in-benevolence is a kind of rational transcendence, which has achieved through political and intellectual practices in Chinese history. This article also claims that the-deeply-believing-in-benevolence has become the core value of Chinese civilization, and it should be as the core value of Chinese higher education, especially for general education.
