「招郎」與「結盟」-加禮宛事件對噶瑪蘭族與撒奇萊雅族交互關係之影響

Interaction between the Sakizaya and the Kavalan after the Kaliawan Incident

摘要


本文嘗試探討的主題,是撒奇萊雅族與噶瑪蘭族在面對加禮宛事件後所導致的強制遷徙時,運用什麼策略,來延續族群生命。本文提出的解答,是噶瑪蘭族、撒奇萊雅族與阿美族皆有之入贅婚俗,加上三族相似的親屬關係、家庭制度與社會組織,增加了三族彼此接受的可能性。特別是「招郎」的婚姻制度,似乎成為噶瑪蘭族與撒奇萊雅族的生存策略,讓兩族的家庭與聚落補充了立即性的勞動力、生產力及防禦力,使噶瑪蘭族與撒奇萊雅族在修護原漢衝突後的折損之際,同時,又能與鄰近的阿美族建立友誼關係。

This essay tries to understand the strategy of social alignment adopted by the Sakizaya and the Kavalan after the Kaliawan Accident. This strategy can be seen as the most important method to help these two groups to continue their ethnic life after their dramatic forced migration. The strategy of Zhao Lang, a form of marriage in which a man lives with his wife's family after his marriage, provided the Sakizaya and the Kavalan with immediate labor to their families as well as the community. When reviewing the contemporary development of these two groups, we thus realize that the strategy of ”Zhao Lang” does assist the groups to stabilize their ethnic and social life as well as their relationship with the neighboring Amis.
