大學生參與國際志願服務的助人行為歷程之研究

A Study on the Trajectories of the Helping Behavior Among College Students Joining International Volunteer Service

摘要


本研究旨在探討大學生參與國際志願服務時助人行為的歷程,探討內容包括參與服務過程中所遭遇的阻礙、困境,及志工豐富且獨特經歷背後的意義與個人收穫與轉變。為探討大學生生命故事的軌跡和脈絡,本研究以助人行為理論為基礎,採用質性研究,以深度訪談作為研究取向,邀請六位研究參與者,探究參與國際志願服務的相關意涵。本研究主要結論如下:一、助人行為決策歷程包含「對國際志願服務議題的關注」、「國際志願服務理解程度」、「具備正確服務態度」及「評估語文與經濟能力」。二、影響助人行為環境因素包含「個人成長環境影響」、「友善校園環境增進服務的動力」,以及「家庭環境與家人認同」。三、參與國際志願服務有助於個人生涯發展。本研究依據研究結論,針對大專院校、國際志願服務團隊提出建議,期能提供相關人員規劃與執行之參考。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the helping behavior of the university students who were engaged in international volunteer service: what difficulties they encountered and struggled with, what meanings were hidden beneath their very unique and resourceful experiences, and how these experiences reshaped them. From the above, the study gathered adequate data. In order to explore their background and individual experiences, the basis of this study used helping behavior theory by assembling the qualitative research with in-depth interviews as a research approach. Through in-depth interviews from six participants, the researcher discovered the significant implications of the helping behavior of these international volunteers. The conclusions of this study are as follows: A. The decision-making process of helping behavior involves paying attention to international volunteer issues, understanding of international voluntary services, possessing the right attitude, and owning language and financial capacities. B. The environmental factors that influenced the candidates' helping behavior include their growth environment, the motivation from an environment-friendly campus, and a family atmosphere that supported their volunteer service. C. Participation in international volunteer service contributes to the development of the students' career. Based on the findings, recommendations to universities and volunteer service groups were further provided.
