銀髮族志工參與動機、積極性因應與幸福感之研究-以北區醫院為例

A Study of Motivation for Volunteering, Proactive Coping and Well-Being among Seniors- The Case of a Hospital in Northern Taiwan

摘要


本研究主要目的在分析志工參與動機對積極性因應與幸福感間的關聯性,並且探討積極性因應為志工參與動機與幸福感的中介變項。經由立意取樣北部某醫學中心銀髮族志工,有效問卷150份,回收率為75%,以階層迴歸分析檢驗中介效果。問卷分成四部分,「醫療志工參與動機量表」、「積極性因應量表」「幸福感量表」與「基本資料表」。研究結果發現銀髮族志工參與動機正向影響積極性因應,銀髮族志工參與動機正向影響幸福感,銀髮族志工之積極性因應正向影響幸福感。若探討中介效果時,銀髮族志工參與動機正向影響幸福感就會消失,發現積極性因應對志工參與動機與幸福感具有完全中介效果。研究結果對銀髮族志工如何獲得幸福感提出建議。針對提升銀髮族志工的志工參與動機和促進銀髮族的積極性因應態度是改善銀髮族幸福感的可行對策。

This study aimed to research which has empirically documented the link between motivation for volunteering, proactive coping and well-being is scant. Therefore, this article attempts to explore how motivation for volunteering, proactive coping and well-being are related. This research involved a survey, comprised of three sets of questionnaire items concerning motivation for volunteering, proactive coping and well-being. 150 volunteers, at a large hospital in northern Taiwan, who are older than 55, of participated in this study. The quantitative analysis of the questionnaires was conducted through descriptive statistics and regression analysis. Results of this study showed motivation for volunteering has a positive influence on both proactive coping and well-being, while proactive coping also has a positive influence on well-being. The relationship between motivation for volunteering and well-being is mediated by proactive coping. To conclude, this study may be of importance in explaining the relationship between motivation for volunteering, proactive coping and well-being. This study may also provide hospitals with a better understanding of volunteers' motivation and proactive coping. Hospitals may be able to enhance volunteers' well-being by considering their individual characteristics when they are assigned service work.
