"Hong Kong literature," as a collective concept, has received attention only after going through a process of development. From the standpoint of "Hong Kong literary history," it is essential to investigate how people from the "outside" conceive "Hong Kong literature." An examination of Hong Kong literature in both local and non-local context is ineluctable, for achieving a good understanding of its structure and significance because "fluidity" and "boundary-crossing" are some of the most important characteristics of Hong Kong literature. This paper is a close examination of literary interactions between Hong Kong and Taiwan. Through an analysis of the presence and reception of Hong Kong literature in Taiwan in different periods, it can become a foundation to lead for further and more comprehensive discussions on Hong Kong's literary interactions with Taiwan, and other areas.
