馬諦斯的繪畫「表現」之研究《一個畫家的筆記》文本啟示

The Study of Matisse's Art 〞Expression〞 with《Notes of A Painter》Inspiration

摘要


本研究旨在探究亨利.馬諦斯(Henri Matisse 1869-1954)對藝術所追求之目的主在「表現」,並由他個人的作品來提供,為馬諦斯的繪畫宗旨與才能所給予之最佳的解釋。因此,本文藉由馬諦斯的《一個畫家的筆記》(〞Notes d'un Peintre〞; Notes of A Painter)文本為例,來探究馬諦斯的藝術創作意圖與抱負在於「表現」各個方面,如:表現的元素(構圖、色彩與線條)、主題(人體)、根源(模仿自然與想像力)、方法(表現個人氣質)…等等。亦即馬諦斯認為繪畫是生命的發現:在忠於生命的理智與感性之交互凝聚、以及自然與個人的想像之身與化物、主客相融,即是應對自我生命的真誠;並藉由柏格森式的直覺藝術思想來互映。此乃,馬諦斯的藝術思想與創作表現之核心,並以確切馬諦斯的繪畫「表現」在思想(藝術理論)與方法(藝術創作)兩主軸,同時受對現代(主義)藝術的開展。

This study focused on the idea that Henri Matisse's (1869-1954) main goal in art is 〞expression〞, which is shown through artworks, as well as being the best explanation for an artist's role and talent. This article by Matisse's 〞Notes d'un Peintre〞 (Notes of A Painter) text to explore the various aspects of his artistic intentions and ambitions in the 〞expression〞. These comprise element of expression (composition, color and line), theme (figure), origin (imitating nature and imagination), method (showing temperament) etc... Also, Matisse thinks that art enables us to find out about life: the transition into a greater state, and the realm of the unity of subjects (response) and objects(reaction) depend on the sincere character of faithful to nature and to self. Also, correspond with Henri Bergson's 〞Intuition〞 philosophy. Therefore, it is the subject of Matisse's art ideology and creative expression. By being confident that Matisse's art 〞expression is〞 based on the two structures of ideology (art theory) and method (art creation), it has allowed the expansion of modern(ism) art.
