Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare effect of a single bout of Wingate power exercise on blood creatine kinase, lactate dehydrogenase and neutrophil in male university students. Methods: Twenty-seven healthy male ( the average age was 20.1 ± 0.8 y, the average height was 172.3 ± 5.2 cm, the average weight was 66.9 ± 7.5kg). After they finish Wingate 30 sec test for their maximum strength. Venous blood samples were collected immediately before on anaerobic exercise and after 5 minutes and 24 hours. Serum levels of CK, LDH and neutrophil were detected. To analysis data by used descriptive analysis, and One-way Anova (p<.05). Results: CK was significantly increased 5 minutes postexercise as compared with pre-exercise (226.4 ± 144.3 vs. 192.2 ± 129.9 U/L, p<.05). And it was significantly increased 24 hours postexercise as compared with pre-exercise (230.1 ± 122.1 vs. 192.2 ± 129.9 U/L, p <.05). LDH was significantly increased 5 minutes postexercise as compared with pre-exercise (151.9 ± 28.9 vs. 130.1 ± 23.0 U/L, p<.05). And LDH was significantly decreased 5 minutes postexercise as compared with 24 hours postexercise (151.9 ± 28.9 vs. 129.2 ± 23.8 U/L, p<.05). Neutrophil was significantly increased 5 minutes postexercise as compared with pre-exercise (4619.4 ± 1321.2 vs. 3690.8 ± 866.2/μL, p<.05). And it was significantly increased 5 minutes postexercise as compared with 24 hours postexercise (4619.4 ± 1321.2 vs. 3387.0 ± 780.9 /μL, p<.05). Conclusions: After 5 minutes single bout of anaerobic exercise, serum CK and LDH were significantly increased, could resulted in muscle damage immediately. But LDH in 24 hours postexercise was significantly decreased and represented to lactic acid excluded our body. Neutrophil was increased 5 minutes postexercise and decreased 24 hours postexercise and represented postexercise muscle damage potentiality. And after 24 hours break it will return to normal.
