This study focused on observing the 12 players' injury records by filling the injury record form during three training, adjustment and competition stages in Asia Basketball Cup for Taiwan Junior Men Team, 2004. The purpose was to analyze the injury occurring rate and how they get injured during different stages. The result demonstrated that the injury rate in competition stage is higher than the adjustment stage, and the adjustment stage is higher than training stage. The top two injury type are concussion (87.5%) and sprain (12.5%) during racing stage, strain (46%) and concussion (31%) during adjustment stage, and tendonitis (40%) and strain (24%) during training stage. This study concludes that the injury occurring rate depends on different stages, and so does the types of the injuries. The injury prevention strategies will be more effective if trying to understand the reasons of the injury occurring in different stages and adjusting the training schedules as necessary.
