This purpose of study aims to understand job involvement and occupational commitment under different background variables. The other purpose of study was correlation between occupational commitment and job involvement. This study used questionnaire method. The studied objects were primary school teachers in Kaohsiung City. Stratified random sampling was adopted. The effective samples are 407 in total.According to the results of the questionnaire, the following conclusions are gained by handling data and analyzing method of descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way variance of analysis and Pearson's product-moment correlation. Conclusions are drawn as follows, the variables, gender are insignificant to job involvement and occupational commitment as a whole. The differentiation in ages is significant to job involvement and occupational commitment as a whole. Affective occupational commitment, normative occupational commitment and accumulated costs occupational commitment are positively related to job involvement. The final section are some discussions and suggestions.
