經驗學習理論的教學應用-以紙機械單元為例

An Instructional Application of Kolb's Experiential Learning Theory (ELT): An Example of the "Paper Model" Unit

摘要


Kolb經驗學習理論是以學習者為主體,透過具體經驗的操作,在學習過程中不斷省思及觀察而獲得學習結果,透過抽象概念形成將學習內容內化為學習者的知識,最後主動實驗;在歷程中學習者將獲得新的經驗知識及能力。本研究以台北市一所公立高中的十個班為對象,進行「紙機械教案」教學活動。經分析後發現:1.學習者表現出高度學習願意並引發動機。2.學習者更專注於活動並進行討論及研究。3.能內化成本體知識並解決類似問題。4.透過動手做的主動實驗過程,能加深學習者的理解程度。本研究針對高中生活科技的教學活動設計與實施,以期提高學習者的學習意願及學習成效。

Kolb's experiential learning theory (ELT) positions learners as subjects. Provided concrete operational experiences, learners actively reflect on and observe their learning process and in turn obtain their learning results. Through the formation of abstract knowledge, they internalize their learning contents into their knowledge and take the initiative in conducting experiments. In such a process, they will acquire new experiential knowledge and ability. The research selected as the subjects ten classes in one Taipei municipal senior high school, in which the researcher applied Kolb's experiential learning theory (ELT) to the instructional activities and. tasks focusing on paper models. After the abovementioned teaching process was evaluated and dissected, the results of the research are presented as follows. (1) The learners in the ten classes displayed higher learning inclination, which in turn ignited their learning motivation. (2) They concentrated more upon the assigned learning activities, and they even engaged in their class discussion, starting to undertake relevant research. (3) They could incorporate their learning process and practice into their knowledge base and solve similar types of problems. (4) The hands-on experience in their experimental process could foster and deepen the learners' understanding. In conclusion, the research aims to examine the design and implementation of the ELT-oriented teaching activities for life technology courses in high school with a view to boosting learners' learning motivation and performance.
