The purpose of this study was to revise Sport Motivation Scale into Chinese and examined its' validity and reliability. The subjects of this study were 315 students selected from a junior high school. Results indicated that the physical education class's motivation scale had six constructs named ”intrinsic motivation” ”integrated regulation”, ”identified regulation”, ”Introjected regulation”, ”external regulation” , and ”amotivation”. The internal consistency of the six subscale ranging from .75- .85 and the total Cronbach's α was .83 with total accounted variance of 59.41 %. This scale has appropriate reliability and validity.
