Design on Coplanar Mobile Antenna for 4G Communication

摘要


本文提出了一種適用於4G手機的共平面天線。此天線是在介電常數ε_r = 4.4、板材厚度為0.8 mm的玻璃纖維基板(FR4)上進行設計,天線結構是由一個倒Г型微帶線來耦合不同長度的微帶線分支所組成,採用分支接地與接地面開槽結構方式來擴展頻寬。天線量測結果顯示在S11小於-6 dB時,可以實現697-1127 MHz和1292-2661 MHz兩個超寬頻的工作頻段,產生的三個工作頻率分別為792 MHz、1678 MHz和2229 MHz。在這項研究中,共平面天線的工作頻段覆蓋了低頻段的LTE700 / GSM850/900和高頻段的DCS1800和PCS1900 / UMTS2100 / LTE2300 /2500,對所設計的天線進行製作實測,驗證了設計的可靠性。使用3D電磁模擬軟體對此天線的頻率響應、增益、輻射效率與電流分佈特性進行模擬,模擬結果和實測結果非常一致。此研究明確呈現出該天線設計可以滿足4G手機工作需求。

A Coplanar antenna for 4G mobile phone is proposed. The antenna was designed on a fiber glass substrate (FR4) with dielectric constant ε_r = 4.4 and thickness is 0.8 mm. The presented antenna is coupled with different length of microstrip branch line by an inverted-Г shaped microstrip line. Coplanar structure and branches connected to ground and slotted ground structure to extend the bandwidth. Two wide operating bandwidths of 697-1127 MHz and 1292-2661 MHz can be achieved by these radiating strips, which provide three resonant modes at 792, 1678 and 2229 MHz when the S_(11) is less than -6 dB. In this study, the planar antenna covering the LTE700/GSM850/900 and DCS1800/PCS1900/UMTS2100/LTE2300/ 2500, making measured on the design of the antenna, to verify the reliability of this designed antenna. The frequency response, gain, radiation efficiency and current distribution of the designed antenna were simulated with 3D Electromagnetic software, and the simulated and measured results of this antenna are in good agreement. The study indicates that the proposed antenna can satisfy the 4G mobile phone demand.
