公共藝術的實踐經驗－以台灣文學館“凝結記憶”作品為例

本文所探討的內容，是屬於文化創意產業的一個部份，透過公共藝術方式將創意提供在設計實踐上的經驗。筆者在2004年完成的作品臺灣文學館的公共藝術“凝結記憶”作品個案，將透過內容分析的研究方法，完整的陳述設計、競圖、作品實踐。此作品作後是被設置在臺灣文學館入口兩側人行道地板中，共有十六個嵌入地板中的盒子，盒子裡各有十六個不同的手印與腳印。每一個手印或腳印也許是來自政經名流、藝術耆老、工人百姓或是婦女兒童等等社會不同的組成分子，這些不同的身體印記代表著我們的歷史正是被這多樣化的人所創造出來的，也彰顯了台灣古蹟在原台南州廳八十多年來所凝結的不同時代之歷史紋理。所以當作品與環境結合，就強化了藝術公共性的結果，而作品的手段與環境改變，也都將成為公共藝術創作與實踐的發展策略。

The purpose of this research aims to discuss the experience of creativeness of design and application in public art, which is a part of Cultural Creative Industry. The work ”Freezing Memory” of the National Museum of Taiwanese Literature of public art is the researcher's production, which was accomplished in 2004. This paper will use content analysis to describe the comprehensiveness of its design, the blueprint, the completion of the work and the experience of application. The work was installed at the entrance of the National Museum of Taiwanese Literature, on two sides of the sidewalk floor. There are sixteen boxes inserted in the floor. Each box has sixteen different handprints and footprints. Each handprint or footprint could have been represented by different level of people in the society, such as the politician, the celebrity, the respected elderly people, the worker, the man, the woman and the child. These different body marks indicate that the history in Taiwan has been created by these various people, and they also reveal the historical traces, which has been congealed on the original Tainan Governmental Building Hall for the last 80 years. Therefore, as the artwork melted with the surrounding environment, the effects of the public art will be enhanced. The alternation of the artwork and transformation of the environment will result in the change of the creativeness and application of the public art, which has also become the important strategy for the development of Cultural Creative Industry.
