The Applications of Generalizability Theory to Design the Psychomotor Test: The Performance of the Badminton Forehand Long Serve

The purpose of this study was to apply generalizability theory (GT) in the psychomotor test. The generalizability studies (G-STUDY) and decision studies (D-STUDY) were utilized for the decision maker of tests. The major task of study were to deciding the goodness of fit trials for the fixed length tests and deciding the goodness of fit scaling. The 149 elementary school student from NEHS took this test to obtain the deciding the goodness of fit trials for fixed-length tests and the deciding the goodness of fit scaling in the badminton serve by GT. The results were as follow: the deciding the goodness of fit trials for fixed length tests was 7 and the deciding the goodness of fit scaling was 3. The conclusions were: 1. Based on the best decision of test condition were depended on the need of user. The GT can be used to determine appropriate the trial-length of tests. 2. The GT can be used to select the best of scaling and frequency of trails. 3. The designs and results of this tests had better characteristics and feasibility than past studies.
