In this study, we are going to discuss the differences of gender, leisure participation patterns and deviate behaviors among adolescence as well as the relationship of leisure participation patterns and the deviate behaviors. 421 students from the 1st grade of junior high school to the senior high school in Miaoli City are selected as the samples of a questionnaire investigation. Leisure Participation Table and Deviate Behaviors Table are adopted as tools for measurement. Data processing is based on descriptive statistics, t test and canonical correlation. As a result, we find that (1) male adolescence tend to take more part in pleasure and sports leisure. They are closer to the general deviate behaviors and violations than the female adolescence are. (2) Pleasure leisure is very important in forecasting the deviate behaviors of the adolescence. It is shown that the pleasure leisure is closely, stably and directly related to the deviate behaviors. Finally, we provide some suggestions for the reference of schools and future studies.
