氣功放鬆運動與有氧運動對職場員工膜島素敏感性之影響

The Effect of Chi-Kung Relaxation Exercise and Aerobic Exercise on Staff Insulin Sensitivity

摘要


有氧運動和氣功放鬆運動均被認為能紓解工作壓力,已知有氧運動能有效降低胰島素阻抗現象,而因壓力引發的高皮質醇則會降低細胞對胰島素的敏感度。一般認為氣功放鬆運動能減低焦慮,降低體內壓力賀爾蒙的含量,但對降低胰島素阻抗、預防慢性疾病的形成是否有類似的效果則不得知。為瞭解氣功放鬆運動對職場工作者胰島素敏感度的影響程度有無類似有氧運動之效果,本研究招募33位職場低勞動量員工參加八週的有氧舞蹈班(健身組,每週三次,每次一小時),同時另外18位員工參加氣功放鬆運動班(減壓組,每週三次,每次一小時),課程前後採測受試者葡萄糖耐受度、胰島素、皮質醇,並實施體能檢測。結果發現有氧運動班體能顯著增強,葡萄糖耐受度顯著增加,胰島素敏感度、皮質醇無顯著變化;氣功放鬆班體能、葡萄糖耐受度、皮質醇均無明顯變化,胰島素敏感度卻顯著下降。結論指出,八週短期運動介入,有氧舞蹈運動可改善體能及細胞代謝功能,但氣功放鬆運動不能降低壓力賀爾蒙,對體能及細胞代謝功能亦無明顯改善效果,顯示以氣功放鬆運動為形式的短期低強度運動對胰島素阻抗之改善沒有效果。

Aerobic exercise and chi-kung relaxation exercise has been thought to decrease the pressure from work. Aerobic exercise can also reduce insulin resistance and pressure-induced high cortisol level which would elevate insulin resistance. It is believed that chi-kung relaxation exercise could low down the anxiety and pressure hormone level. But it is unknown if it could decrease insulin resistance or not. To realize the effects of chi-kung and is there any difference between it and aerobic exercise, 33 staff working in Taipei city government staff were recruited to join 8-week aerobic dance class and 18 staff to join chi-kung relaxation class (1 hour/ 3 times/ per week). Before and after whole program the blood glucose tolerance, insulin, cortisol and physical fitness were measured. The results show that in aerobic dance group, physical fitness, glucose tolerance increased significantly, insulin and cortisol level without changes. In chi-kung group physical fitness, glucose tolerance and cortisol level without significant changes, insulin sensitivity decreased significantly. The suggestion of this study shows that the aerobic dance program could improve physical fitness and cell metabolic ability. But chi-kung did not decrease pressure hormone level as expected, and could not improve fitness and metabolism. We conclude that there were no improving effects of short-term low intensity relaxation exercise on staff insulin sensitivity.
