本稿主要透過將作家王白淵的《荊棘之道》作品與日本大正時期著名日本詩人野口米次郎的作品的比對,回到原作日文文脈以及語詞構造的組合去分析作品內容,發現在選擇的詩作主題,或臨摹的表現語言和象徵構造上,王白淵的作品皆與野口米次郎有高度的相似之處,同時呼應了當時在世界文壇中備受重視的象徵主義運動。透過這樣的分析,可以知道詩文集《荊棘之道》比起先行研究所指出的左翼關懷,顯示出來的象徵主義傾向更加濃厚。由此也能得知他是如何與當代日本詩壇互動,如何從中撿擇及接收,進行再創造,形成自己的詩作。可以看出他在台灣文學新詩史上另一層的意義。
The main task of this article explores the literary activities of Wang Bai Yuan (王白淵), through comparative analysis of Wang BaiYuan and Yonejirou Noguchi (野口米次郎). It shows that Wang BaiYuan's poetry of the Ibaranomichi (蕀の道) has the significant influence from Yonejirou Noguchi, especially that his management of Image and rhetoric. It also gives a good explanation for Ibaranomichi has the link to the symbolist movement through the international poet as Yonejirou Noguchi. Until now, it generally accepted that Ibaranomichi is one part of Left-wing literature, but based on the study, I argue that it has been one part of symbolist movement and also been contemporary with the Japan poetry and the international poetry. In other words, it also means great significance for the development of the new poetry in Taiwan in 1920s.
