Polarization Effect in Dielectric Materials Induced by Homogenization

The polarization effect in dielectric materials is considered. Using two-scale convergence method introduced by G. Nguetseng and G. Allaire, we study the polarization effect induced by homogenization. The microscopic properties of electrons in dielectric materials are characterized by way of Vlasov-Poisson system. The homogenized equations are obtained, which describe the mean behaviors. We also get the modified Gauss law through the polarization effect.
