The present paper describes a procedure for structure generation by using NMR spectra. In the procedure, ill numbers are separately given, from high field to low field, for the signals in the carbon-13 and proton NNIR spectra. The two series of ill numbers are correlated by HMQC and used to change the ^1H-^1H correlations in COSY and ^1H-^(13)C correlations in HMBC into ^(13)C _^(13)C connectivities. The procedure for the generation of a structure is started with a ^(13)C _^(13)C connected fragment generated from a cross peak of COSY. Then, the structure is generated by successive connections of the connectivities and the signals of proton and carbon-13 are concomitantly assigned via ID number.
