以二階段資料包絡分析衡量紡織產業之經營效率與市場能力

Evaluating the Operational Efficiency and Marketing Ability of Textiles Industry by Two-Stage DEA

摘要

為尋求臺灣紡織產業中的典範企業，本研究以二階段資料包絡分析（Data Envelopment Analysis, DEA），衡量上市、櫃紡織產業中，48 家公司的相對經營效率與市場能力，並以保證範圍（Assurance Region, AR）模式及折衷權重（Common Compromise Weights, CCW）模式，找出經營相對有效率的公司為典範。研究結果顯示，第一階段有經營效率的公司有7 個，第二階段有市場能力的公司有5 個。冠好科技是相對有經營效率及市場能力的典範公司。本研究同時也計算各公司投入、產出變項的差額變，得到無效率公司在各投入、產出變項需要減少或增加的數量，提供無效率公司改善的建議方向，以提昇其經營效率、市場能力和總體競爭力。

Textiles are an important industry, it belongs to the livelihood industry, and it is one of the light industries. Textiles are not only necessities in our daily life, but also the basis applied material or parts in other industry; it is one of the symbols of historical and human cultural. In the past decades, Taiwan textile industry was export-oriented.With extensive experience in the development of functional fabrics, it accomplishes reputation in the international market. However, facing of fierce competition from China, India, and other countries in Southeast Asia, how to maintain a competitive advantageis a question worth exploring for Taiwan textile industry. To explorethe business model for textile industry in Taiwan, this study applies twostage data envelopment analysis (DEA) to measure the relative operational efficiency and market ability of 48firms in textile industry.Moreover, the assurance region (AR) model and common compromise weights (CCW) modelare usedto identify the relative efficientcompany. Results reveal that there are seven efficient companies in the first stage evaluation. Moreover, in the second stage evaluation, there are five company having market ability.KoanHao Technology Co., Ltd. is relatively excellent in operational efficiency and market ability. Finally, in order to enhance its operational efficiency, market ability and overall competitiveness, this study also perform slack analysis of input/output variables for all companies and provide some directions of improvement for those inefficient companies.
