摘要

近三十年來，藏傳佛教在台灣的蓬勃發展，已受到宗教和社會學研究者的重視。本論文就多元文化的立場，探討其宗教活動的各種形式與意義，並配合其宗教的發展脈絡，深入研究。文分五段：壹、前言，貳、佛教傳入西藏的緣起與顯密雙融的發展方向之確立，参、派別林立的藏傳佛教傳承發展史，肆、藏傳佛教顯密雙融的基本教義，伍、藏傳佛教的宗教活動及其宗教意涵，陸、結論。西藏地處偏遠的青康藏高原，而藏傳佛教的金剛乘儀式頗為繁複，與漢傳大乘佛教聽經、讀經、禪修的簡約風習大異其趣，故歷來與漢地文化隔閡頗深。本文從歷史的角度，系統地探討藏傳佛教的宗教活動之形式、意義、淵源，以及與漢傳佛教之異同，期對漢藏種族間能增進瞭解、消除歧見；並對破除迷信、發揚正信的社會教育工作，能略盡緜薄之力。

During the recent 30 years, Tibetan Buddhism is flourishing in Taiwan. The scholars of religion and social science have already paid attention to this phenomenon, and highly valued them. This research is positioned on multi-cultural viewpoints to explore the form and meaning of religious activities and to have a deep study in line with their development context. There are five sections. The first section is preface. The second section is the cause of Buddhism being brought into Tibet, and the establishment of development direction of the union of Sutrayana and Tantrayana. The third is the lineage development history of different sects of Tibetan Buddhism. Fourth is the basic essence of the union of Sutrayana and Tantrayana in Tibetan Buddhism. The fifth is the religious activities of Tibetan Buddhism and its religious meaning. And the sixth is the conclusion. Tibet is located on the remote Tibetan Plateau. And Tibetan Buddhism has quite complicated Vájrayāna ceremony which is so different from the tradition of China's Mahāyāna Buddhism with the context of reading and listening to the Sutra, and meditation in a simple way. That's why historically there is a big gap between Tibetan Buddhism and Chinese cultures. This thesis stands from the historical point of view to systematically explore the form, meaning and source of religious activities of Tibetan Buddhism with the expectation to enhance the mutual understanding between Tibetan and Chinese, and diminish the dissension. At the same time, with our little help, we hope to break, remove the superstition and develop the true religion for social education.
