摘要

近年來，「博物館評價」在國內外日益受到重視，顯示博物館隨著社會環境之變化必須不斷調整其功能與營運方向，並透過評鑑的制度自我檢討營運的成效。面對此一趨勢，本文採用文獻分析法，以日本為主的國外經驗與檢討心得為本，分析博物館進行評價的社會與制度因素，並說明決定博物館實施評價制度得以成功的要素。本文首先討論「博物館評價」的定義與內涵；其次歸納博物館評價的類型與其適合的運用情境，文中筆者將特別說明認證制度與獨立行政法人制度的評價制度配套；最後文章將歸納對於博物館評價的檢討與建議，以梳理成功實施博物館評價的要素。

In recent years, museum evaluations have been increasingly emphasized in Taiwan and overseas, indicating that, in line with social changes, museums need to constantly adapt their functions and operational direction, and, through systems of appraisal, explore the outcomes of their own operations. In the face of this trend, this article adopts the literature review method and concentrates on the overseas experience of Japan. By exploring the findings from so doing, it attempts to analyze the social and systemic factors surrounding museums , conduct of evaluations, and to explain the factors that determine successful use of evaluation systems. The article first discusses a definition and meaning of ＂museum evaluation＂. Then it summarizes types of museum evaluation and the operating circumstances to which they are appropriate, with particular explanations of how accreditation systems and systems of evaluation of independent administrative institutions work together. Finally the article sums up the exploration of museum evaluation and suggests factors that might contribute to the successful implementation of museum evaluation schemes.
