摘要

北宋西北邊境的鎮戎軍，建制年代在各種文獻中記載不一。作者根據當事人李繼隆的墓志銘這一更為原始的文獻，判定鎮戎軍的設置年代在宋太宗至道三年（997年）。鎮戎軍的設置與向靈州運送軍糧有關，是新開辟的運糧道路上的一個重要的中轉站，開辟鎮戎軍糧道，是恢復了唐代由關中通往靈州的「西道」，但這條新的運糧道路並沒有發揮出應有的作用，隨後被放棄不用，鎮戎軍也在宋真宗咸平二年（999年）被撤銷建制。雖然北宋政府在咸平五年（1002年）重新設置了鎮戎軍，但由於靈州失守，鎮戎軍失去了作為運送軍糧道路上中轉站的意義，只是作為一個邊防要塞而存在。

Zhenrong Jun was an important transfer station in the road which led to Lingzhou（靈州） and was used to transport army provisions, however, the new road did not play an active role and was abandoned quickly. Zhenrongjun was revoked in 999. The government of the Northern Song Dynasty founded Zhenrong Jun again, however, Zhenrong Jun did not play a role as a transfer station in the road as Lingzhou fell, and it existed as a frontier fort.
