The purpose of this study was to investigate the behaviors of elementary students when they faced the internet safety problems such as inappropriate information, internet privacy and palling friends on internet. The subjects were 531 fifth and sixth graders. This study used survey method and a questionnaire with the design of internet safety negative situations to collect the data. This study found that the internet safety behaviors of elementary students were above average and there were about 10% students lacking of the appropriate skills to deal with the internet safety negative situations, especially in the ability of information verification, the protection of internet privacy, the interaction with net-friends, and parent involvement.
