The article is a chapter of the book "Functions of Narration". This book includes six chapters: Introductions, Language and Thinking, Children's Thinking, Narration, Narratives and Stories, Narration and Thinking, and Substitutes of Conclusions. This paper attempted to define the conceptions of narration, narratives and stories from the perspectives of styles, ways of communicating, and theories of narratives. Based on the perspectives, similarities, differences, and relationships among the three concepts were clarified.
