This article was presented when Liang Lin was invited as a key-note speaker at the Conference of ＂1945 - 1998 Taiwan's Top 100 Children's Books＂ held March 24-26, 2000, in Taipei. In this article, Lin explained the book selection process, result, as well as his personal reflection and observation on this. Lin also observed the aesthetic, local, and historical nature that ＂1945 - 1998 Taiwan's Top 100 Children's Books＂ possess.
