摘要

太虛大師是現代佛教革新運動的一代宗師，他提出的人間佛教思想，被海峽兩岸佛教界所繼承和實踐。如今，中國大陸漢傳佛教推崇太虛大師、建設人間佛教，已成為一個鮮明的時代特點。然而，在50年代中期開始至「文化大革命」結束，由於政治形勢敏感性，大陸佛教即使是太虛大師門下，也長期不敢公開提及「太虛」之名。80年代，大陸佛教界及學術界重新認和學習太虛大師的進程中，趙樸初所起到的作用是無人可及的，促成了大陸佛教回到太虛大師人間佛教的道路。他以中國佛教協會會長、政協副主席等政治威望，通過官方和私人兩種途徑，尤其是與太虛大師臨終前一段交往的「敘事」，推動並且擴大了太虛大師及人間佛教思想在大陸僧尼信眾中的影響，成功地將人間佛教確立為中國佛教發展的主流方向。

Master Taixu is a great leader of the modern Buddhism innovation movement. His Humanistic Buddhism is inherited and practiced in Taiwan and mainland. Nowadays, building Humanistic Buddhism is becoming a distinct feature of the times in mainland of China. However, from the mid-1950s to the end of the ＂Cultural Revolution＂, due to the sensitivity of political situation, people even if Master's followers were afraid to say the name of ＂Taixu＂ in public. In the 1980s, in the process of re-recognizing and learning Master Taixu in the mainland Buddhist and academic circles, Zhao Puchu played an unparalleled role, who led to Maste Taixur's Humanistic Buddhism. With the political prestige of the president of the Chinese Buddhist Association and the vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, he promoted and expanded the influence of Master Taixu and the thought Humanistic Buddhism among the mainland monks and nuns through official and private forms, especially the ＂narrative＂ about the communication with the Master Taixu before his death. And he successfully established the human Buddhism as the mainstream direction of the development of Chinese Buddhism today.
