Liurong temple of Zen Buddhism, with a history of more than one thousand years, has a rich cultural history and a long tradition of respecting Buddhism. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, monk Yunfeng has been stationed in Liurong temple from Beijing for nearly half a century, that makes him the most outstanding representative and pride of the Buddhist society in Guangdong province. He wrote down a great deal of historical material in his life. Especially in the ten years of the Cultural Revolution, he quietly wrote down his own experience and the precious scenes of the exchanges between the overseas Buddhist and the Chinese Buddhist in that period. Elder Yunfeng's secret writings inadvertently left the most authentic memories and valuable Buddhist practices of that period for the Chinese Buddhist community.
