媒體型休閒活動對快樂感之影響:台、日、韓跨國比較

The Effect of Media-Based Leisure Activities on Happiness: Empirical Evidences from East Asia Countries

摘要


本研究目的主要是探討亞洲國家的快樂感影響因素,包括社會人口、自覺健康狀態、國家別、媒體型及體能休閒活動因素,其中特別關注媒體型休閒活動與快樂感的關聯性和影響效果,採用2007年國際社會調查計畫的世界性資料進行台灣(2,122名)、日本(1,068名)與韓國(1,400名)之跨國比較,並且採用卡方檢定與羅吉斯特迴歸進行資料分析。結果顯示:一、共有三類媒體型休閒活動與快樂感有顯著關聯性,顯示不同的媒體型休閒活動參與頻率之快樂感有所差異;二、在其它條件不變的狀況下,高、中頻率聽音樂、中頻率看電影,以及中頻率使用電腦/網路等活動對快樂感有正向預測力,而且都可能較低頻率組的參與者還要快樂。整體比較後,本研究支持「聽音樂」、「看電影」、「使用電腦/網路」三項活動是台灣、日本及韓國人在自由時間裡獲取快樂感的重要休閒型媒體活動,並且在適度的參與頻率(中頻率)下,更能夠提升人們整體生活的快樂。建議未來可加入媒體內容和時間參與量等變項來討論其對快樂感的影響,並且增加更多亞洲國家的資料,有助於更深入掌握媒體型休閒活動對亞洲國家快樂感的影響。

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of media-based leisure activities on happiness, controlling for demographic, healthy and national variables. Using international survey data from Taiwan (n=2,122), Japan (n=1,075) and South Korea (n=1,400) in 2007. The results of chi-test show that the most media-base leisure activities significantly associate with happiness and the percentage of happy samples more than the percentage of unhappy samples in all groups of participation frequency. In addition, logistic regression analysis find four participant frequency of media-base leisure activities are significantly positive effect happiness, when we control for socio-demographic, health status and country variables. This study concludes the group of medium frequency with media-based leisure activities that “listen to music”, “go to the movies” and “using Internet/ PC” are contribute to increase happy in whole life and become the important resource of happiness in Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. Future research also needs to examine the relationship among contents, time budget of media-base leisure and happiness.
