Review the past researches, there are some researches found that taking notes is better than not taking notes for one’s cued recall of information. But it is interesting that no significant differences on the accuracy of the judgments were found those who took notes and those who did not. Therefore, the purpose of the research is to investigate how note-taking affect interrater agreement in panel interview. This study extends previous research by examining the moderating roles of interview structure, and interview length in real employment interviews. Results from 122 panel interviews and applicants of 18 firms partially supported our hypotheses. The result showed that note-taking can positive affect interrater agreement and the less structured the interview, the stronger the relationship between note-taking and interrater agreement. In addition, the shorter the interview length, the stronger the relationship between note-taking and interrater agreement. Through the results, if organizations wish to increase the interrater agreement, it is suggested that interviewers should take more notes in interviews to help them make judgments on interviewees.
