戰後初期的臺灣大學,前承接有日治時期成立的臺北帝國大學,又在1945年由中華民國政府接收後,改組為國立臺灣大學。而1949年國民政府遷臺,大學教育更在此確立並開展新貌。在歷經政權的遞嬗,戰後初期的臺灣大學除了跨越了兩個時代,其人員組構,也橫亙日、中、臺三方,因而形成獨特的大學文化。而這文化的形成無疑有其背後的文化脈絡和歷史因素值得關注及討論。是故,本文由在中國近代外文教育史上甚具代表性的北京及清華大學著手,併同臺北帝國大學的西洋文學講座,探討戰前的外國文學教育,再續探戰後的臺大外文系,包括其課程建置及特色,以兩相對照的方式梳理,可見其中的承繼關係。並以臺大外文系學者於學院外的文化實踐為另一個切入點,觀察這些學者在除了教育場域之外的付出及貢獻。
In the early postwar period, the National Taiwan University, which undertook the Taipei Imperial University established by the Japanese in the colonial period and received by the Government of the Republic of China in 1945, was reorganized as the National Taiwan University. While the Nationalist government relocated to Taiwan in 1949, the University established and to carried out the new look. After the regime's Evolution of the early postwar period, National Taiwan University ran across the two eras and the staff group was fromed by people from Japan, China, and Taiwan which created a unique university culture. Formation in this culture is undoubtedly worthy of attention and discussion due to the cultural context and historical factors. Therefore, this article proceed with Beijing and Tsinghua University, which are the representative of the modern foreign language education in the history, comparing with the Taipei Imperial University of Western Literature Seminar to explore the pre-war foreign literary education, and adjourned to explore the post-war National Taiwan University Department of Foreign Languages , including its curriculum structure and features. By comparing with the two contrast, it shows the inheritance relationship. Futhermore, use the cultural practices of foreign languages and literature scholar in National Taiwan University College as another entry point to observe these scholars’ contribution outside the education field.
