虛擬實境應用於自然科實驗之研究

摘要


虛擬實境(Virtual Reality)是近幾年備受注目的技術。而虛擬實境目前的應用相當廣泛,例如:軍事、製造、建築、醫藥、訓練、教育以及娛樂等等。過去針對教育領域的應用也有所研究,指出虛擬實境的技術在教育上看起來是具有發展潛力的。國內近年來逐漸重視自然科學教育的探究與實作,因此本研究發展一套虛擬實驗室,探討虛擬實驗室應用於自然科實驗對學習者的學習成效及學習動機是否有影響,並且整理虛擬實驗室之修改及各項建議。   本研究的研究對象為12位國中九年級的學生,實驗以個案研究法了解學習歷程及成效。質性資料包括學習者使用虛擬實驗室的過程及使用後的個別訪談。學習者的知識理解前後測成績以成對樣本t檢定檢視學習成效,學習動機則以描述性統計列出平均數與標準差。研究結果顯示,虛擬實驗室可以提升學生的學習成效,但未達顯著差異。而虛擬實驗室皆可以讓學生在IMI內在動機量表的興趣/樂趣、努力/重要性、壓力/緊張及感知能力四個層面有較好的表現。另外,本研究的最後針對教學上以及虛擬實境教材的設計給予具體性的建議。

Virtual Reality is a highly-anticipated technology in recent years. It was used in different fields, such as: military, manufacturing, construction, medicine, training, education and entertainment, etc. Some study results showed that virtual reality seems to have development potential in education. Therefore, this purpose of the study is to develop a virtual science laboratory for junior high school students, and to explore how they used the lab to review science concepts. This research is a case study which focused on 12 junior high students’ learning process in the virtual science lab. Students’ interactions in the laboratory were observed, and individual interviews were conducted for qualitative data analysis. T-test was used to examine student’s learning effectiveness, and learning motivation was analyzed in descriptive statistics. The results showed that virtual lab can improve students' learning effectiveness, but they do not reach significant differences. However, the virtual lab allowed students to perform well on the IMI's motivational level of interest/enjoyment, effort/importance, pressure/tension and perceived competence. At the end, the study it provided suggestions for designing a virtual lab and teaching with virtual reality as well.
