摘要

《紅樓夢》被視為中國最具文學成就的章回小說之一，也是一部富含中國傳統文化精髓的作品，文中不僅反映當時的風俗民情，也可見許多獨特中華文化的典故、雙關等語言藝術手法，這些文化元素不僅豐富了整部作品，同時地也為譯者帶來許多難題與挑戰。

本論文將將分為五個章節：第一章為緒論，針對研究動機及研究範圍架構等進行說明；第二章為《紅樓夢》作者曹雪芹生平、作品及其譯本的簡介；第三章為探討文化的特性及其與翻譯的關聯性，以及彼得•紐馬克(Peter Newmark)的文化範疇分類；第四章為本論文研究核心，依照彼得•紐馬克的文化元素分類，將《紅樓夢》前十章回的譯例一一歸類並選取較有商榷的譯例分析 ；另外亦針對原作中常使用的雙關語及其他帶有文化意涵的詞語進行分析；第五章為結論，統整本研究的歸納論述及筆者的個人觀點。

Dream of Red Mansions is considered one of China's most accomplished literary novels, also contained a rich essence of traditional Chinese culture. This work not only reflects the customs, but also has many unique Chinese culture allusions, puns and other artistic techniques. These cultural elements enrich the work, but bring many difficulties and challenges to the translator.

This thesis is consisted of five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which explains the motivation, scope and the structure of the study. The second is a brief illustration of the author, the story of the work, translations of the work and the two Spanish translations. The third discusses the characteristics of culture, the relationship between culture and translation and categories of Peter Newmark. The fourth classifies and analyzes the cultural elements of the translation of the first ten chapters of Dream of Red Mansions. The last chapter is the conclusion. I will display the techniques used and then analyze the results.
