蛋白質載體能有效包覆EGCG ,增加EGCG 的穩定性,以及增加EGCG 在腸道中的吸收率。本研究將綠茶萃取物與蜂王漿形成EGCG-蜂王漿蛋白質結合物,透過C2BBe1 細胞模式評估EGCG-蜂王漿蛋白質結合物對於EGCG 生物利用率之影響。結果顯示,綠茶萃取物中含88% 的EGCG,蜂王漿產品中含有32% 的蜂王漿蛋白質 ,另外,蜂王漿蛋白質中包含55% MRJP 1 及9% MRJP 2。結合試驗發現,在蜂王漿/綠茶萃取粉混合重量比為10:4 時,有最好的EGCG 結合率 (30.47%)。細胞試驗中,與綠茶萃取物及綠茶萃取物蜂王漿混合物相比,EGCG-蜂王漿蛋白質結合物可顯著地增加C2BBe1 細胞對於EGCG 的吸收量,也顯著地減少C2BBe1 細胞脂質過氧化物之產生。由本研究可得知,蜂王漿蛋白質可作為EGCG 之有效載體,增加EGCG 在腸道中之吸收,並能有效提升細胞之抗氧化能力。
Protein carrier has potential to increase bioavailability of (−)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Royal jelly (RJ) was mixed with green tea extracts (GTex) to form EGCG-RJ protein complex. This study evaluated the effect of EGCG-RJ protein complex on C2BBe1 cell. GTex contained 88% EGCE. RJ protein constituted 32% RJ (dry weight). RJ protein included 55% major royal jelly protein 1(MRJP 1) and 9% MRJP 2. The best entrapment efficiency (30.47%) of EGCG in EGCG-RJ protein complex at RJ/GTex mixing weight ratio of 10:4 . In cell culture, EGCG-RJ protein complex group significantly enhanced the cellular uptake of EGCG on C2BBe1 cell when compared with GTex group and GTex RJ mixture group. EGCG-RJ protein complex group also significantly reduced the production of TBARS in C2BBe1 cell as compared with GTex group, RJ group or GTex RJ mixture group respectively. These findings demonstrated that RJ protein could be used as a promising and effective carrier for EGCG to promote the absorption by epithelial cells and improve the antioxidant performance.
